What Makes Southlands Unique?
A Rich History and Natural Geography
Southlands is bordered to the north by West 41st Avenue and stretches down to the banks of the mighty Fraser River. Archaeological finds show that First Nations bands settled here as early as 400 BC, making it a place of deep historical significance. While residential development in the neighboring Dunbar area began in the 1920s, Southlands officially became part of the City of Vancouver in 1929.
Amenities for the Active Lifestyle
While Southlands itself is a quiet residential pocket, it is surrounded by incredible amenities:
The Real Estate Landscape
The real estate in Southlands is as diverse as its history. With over 2,200 homes, the area offers everything from traditional-sized lots in the northwest corner, to massive equestrian estates in the southeast.
